National Championships

The date has now been set for the UK National championships and class training to be held at Royal Torbay Yacht Club Devon from July 14th to 17th 2011.The event will follow the successful format used in Pwllheli in 2010 with class training on the first day provided by Simon Hiscock followed by three days of racing. Day 1 of racing on Friday will have the days results added together to give an overall result for the day which will then count as one result in the championship series. This result will also be discardable which will enable boats to choose whether they race all three days or two days over the weekend.
Royal Torbay Yacht Club is very experienced in running major championships. They  hosted the International Moth Nationals in 2010 and this year are due to host the SB3 Worlds in May and 29er Nationals in August. Torquay being a famous holiday destination has a wide range of accommodation from a Premier Inn to five star hotels as well as numerous campsites. There are also many off the water entertainments and attractions.
